Toronto, Canada: Toronto Police are searching for at least one suspect after two people were seriously injured in a stabbing in Scarborough on Canada Day.
Emergency crews were called to the area of McCowan Road and Nugget Avenue, just north of Sheppard Avenue East, at approximately 9:55 p.m. on Wednesday following reports of a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found two victims suffering from stab wounds. Toronto paramedics transported both individuals to hospital with serious but stable injuries.
Crime Scene
Police have not yet released the ages or genders of the victims.
The suspect, or suspects, fled the scene before officers arrived. As of Thursday, investigators had not released any descriptions of those involved or provided details on what may have led to the incident.
A section of the area was temporarily secured as officers gathered evidence and interviewed potential witnesses.
The investigation remains ongoing, and police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information, including dashcam or surveillance footage from the area around the time of the stabbing, to contact Toronto Police.
No arrests have been announced, and authorities continue to search for those responsible.
