Emergency services were called to the intersection of Weedons Road and Waterholes Road at about 3.30pm after reports of a collision involving two vehicles.

Two people have been seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash in Canterbury on Monday afternoon.

Police confirmed that two people sustained serious injuries in the crash. Both were treated at the scene before being transported for further medical care. Their current conditions have not been publicly updated.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police, firefighters and ambulance crews responded to the incident. Tow trucks were also called in to remove the damaged vehicles, while officers managed traffic and began examining the crash scene.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and expect delays while emergency crews worked to clear the roadway and investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
