A murder investigation has been launched after a mother and her two children were found dead inside a home in Great Denham, near Bedford.
Officers from Bedfordshire Police forced entry to a property on Carnoustie Drive on Monday after receiving reports that the family had not been seen for several days.
Police discovered the bodies of the woman and her two children inside the property.

Assistant Chief Constable John Murphy described the case as “a deeply distressing incident” and said investigators believe the mother and her children were murdered.
Authorities have identified a suspect who was known to all three victims. Detectives believe the suspect has left the country, and efforts are underway to locate them as the investigation continues.
Police said the inquiry is in its early stages and described it as an “incredibly complex investigation,” with specialist officers committed to establishing exactly what happened and bringing the person responsible to justice.
Officers have reassured residents there is no information to suggest a wider risk to the public. However, additional patrols and an increased uniformed police presence will remain in the Great Denham area while detectives continue their inquiries.
