A 59-year-old Sydney man has pleaded not guilty in court to charges alleging that he deliberately drove his four-wheel drive into two teenage boys who were riding an electric bike during an alleged road rage incident on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. As a result of the collision, one of the teenagers suffered a broken leg.

Andrew Radford appeared before Manly Local Court on Wednesday, where he vehemently denied all three charges relating to the incident, which allegedly occurred earlier at Newport.

According to police, the confrontation began following an interaction between a Jeep driven by Radford and the two teenage boys travelling on an e-bike. Police allege that during the incident, the vehicle struck the teenagers, causing both boys to fall from the bike.

One of the teenagers suffered a fractured leg and required immediate medical treatment, while the other sustained less serious injuries. Emergency services attended the scene and transported the injured boy to hospital.

Police later launched a detailed investigation into the incident. Investigators reviewed CCTV footage, dashcam recordings, and other evidence before laying charges against Radford.

Meanwhile, Radford has denied all the allegations and pleaded not guilty to the three charges brought against him by police. Counsel representing the accused disputed the prosecution’s version of events and told the court that the allegations will be contested at a later hearing.

The matter has been adjourned, and the case will return to court on a future date. No findings of guilt have been made, and the charges will be determined during the court proceedings.
